Julie Roberts joined Drug Policy Alliance in 2006 and is Policy Coordinator in DPA's New Mexico office. During NM's legislative sessions, she has advocated for drug policy reforms including treatment instead of incarceration, legal access to medical marijuana, overdose prevention, promotion of substance abuse treatment, and improved reentry services for people coming out of jail or prison. She has taken a leadership role in numerous community coalitions and assists with research, event planning, and intern supervision at the NM office. Julie graduated from Ithaca College in 2006 with a focus in film production and politics and spent much of her free time running a student activism organization on campus.
