Tamar Todd, Staff Attorney

Tamar Todd 60x85Tamar Todd is a staff attorney in the Office of Legal Affairs, where she engages in litigation, legislative and public education work in support of drug policy reform.  Previously, Todd was a staff attorney at the Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia.  At the Southern Center, she represented death row inmates in pre-trial, direct appeal and post-conviction proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Todd received her B.A. from the University of Vermont and her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, where she graduated magna cum laude and served as executive editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. After law school, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Emmet Sullivan on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Todd is a member of the California and Alabama bars.
