National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws

State-by-state listing of attorneys who do work with marijuana cases.

The NORML Legal Committee (NLC) is composed of attorneys committed to the overall goals of NORML. The NLC assists NORML by sponsoring NORML legal seminars, informing NORML of current trends in law enforcement and important judicial decisions, providing NORML with copies of relevant briefs and other legal documents, and by making themselves available to provide expert legal assistance in important cases. These top-notch criminal defense lawyers regularly defend individuals charged with marijuana offenses, and they frequently provide pro bono assistance in important or unusual cases which may set favorable legal precedent or otherwise impact public policy.

California NORML provides Legal Referrals for a listing of attorneys in California.


PARENTS/PREGNANT WOMEN PROSECUTIONS/CHILD WELFARE

National Advocates for Pregnant Women

NAPW is dedicated to protecting the rights of pregnant and parenting women and their children.  NAPW seeks to ensure that women are not punished for pregnancy and addiction and that families are not needlessly separated based on medical and public health misinformation. 

Separated Parenting Acess & Resource Center

Has information on drug testing in the context of custody battles and attorney recommendation and referrals.

Also UJC has clinics in various locations in New York where they provide legal support for cases relating to one of five projects:

On-line Referral organization in NY that finds attorneys or legal service programs for low-income clients. Search by zip code or area of need. Not drug specific.

Legal Services for Prisoners with Children

LSPC provides legal advice and referrals to prisoners around family law matters, including child custody, visitation and parental rights.

Civil Liberties Monitoring Project

Motorist Alert. This pamphlet is being distributed by the Civil Liberties Monitoring Project for the benefit of motorists who may at some point be pulled over by law enforcement.
