Campaigns
We are currently focused on reducing the negative impacts of the Safer Cities Initiative in downtown Los Angeles, with the ultimate goal of ending this punitive initiative that disproportionately impacts current and former drug users, African Americans, people with disabilities, and homeless people.

Regulate Marijuana Like Wine Initiative: Seeks to repeal prohibition of marijuana for adults and instead strictly regulate marijuana in a manner much like wine. The law would allow the cultivation of hemp and production of hemp products.
It would not change existing laws regarding medical marijuana, use by minors under 21 years old or impairment while in the workplace or while operating a vehicle.
The law would also provide specific personal possession exemptions, require dismissal of pending court cases regarding marijuana and defend against other related litigation. It would prevent the state of California from supporting federal enforcements in conflict with this law and require the state to petition the federal government to remove marijuana from Schedule One classification.
The law would prohibit commercial advertising of non-medical marijuana and generate new revenue from sales taxes without creating any new taxes.
