Monitoring the Future
Johnston, Lloyd, et al. Monitoring the Future: National Survey Results on Drug Use, 1975-2001. Rockville, MD. National Institute on Drug Abuse. 2002.
Monitoring the Future is a survey of high school students that has been conducted by the University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research for NIDA since 1975. In the spring of each year the study surveys nationally representative samples of students in the eighth-, 10th- and 12th-grades about not only their own history of drug and alcohol use but also their attitudes towards such use.
