Medicinal Uses of Marijuana: Cancer/Anti Tumor Effects

Knox, Richard A. "Study may undercut marijuana opponents - Report says THC did not cause cancer." Boston Globe. January 30, 1997. p. 1(A).

Di Marzo V., et al. "Palmitoylethanolamide inhibits the expression of fatty acid amide hydrolase and enhances the anti-proliferative effect of anandamide in human breast cancer cells." Biochem J. 2001. 15(358): 249-55. Excerpt:

Palmitylethanolamide (PEA) enhances the anti-cancer effect of the endocannabinoid anandamide in human breast cancer cells, in part by inhibiting the expression of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). The FAAH is responsible for the degradation of anandamide. PEA also enhanced the anti-cancer effect of the cannabinoid receptor agonist HU-210.
