Say No to Student Drug Testing
Monday, April 11, 2005

Drug Czar John Walters is at it again; he’s traveling around the country on a taxpayer-funded drug war tour to promote student drug testing as the “silver bullet” to adolescent drug use.

Please organize a group to attend the ONDCP Testing Regional Summits, as they give us a great opportunity to tell educators and the media about the harms of random student drug testing.

Use our Meetings Tool to locate a group in your area, or volunteer to host a meeting yourself.

The dates and locations of the meetings are:

  • Dallas, TX, April 19, 2005
9am-5pm (Sterling Hotel Dallas, 1055 Regal Row)

  • St. Louis, MO, April 26, 2005
9am-5pm (Renaissance Grand Hotel, 800 Washington Avenue)

  • Pittsburgh, PA, May 5, 2005
9am-5pm (Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh, 1160 Thorn Run Road)

  • Portland, OR, May 11, 2005
    9am-5pm (Monarch Hotel, 12566 SE 93rd Avenue)

You can RSVP for the summits here and we will send you reminders as the dates of each summit approaches. Please visit our online tool kit for ways to help end student drug testing.

Learn More About Student Drug Testing

Drug testing is humiliating, costly and ineffective, but it’s an easy anti-drug soundbite for the White House. Student testing breaks the trust between children and adults, and drives students away from extracurricular activities.  What's more, studies even show that student drug testing doesn't work to deter drug use.
