Medical Marijuana: Oregon allows patients to use medical marijuana if they have specified medical conditions, a state registry ID card and the advice of a physician. If tried on possession charges, patients can also cite a "choice of evils" defense if they do not have an ID card. This law was enacted in November of 1998 after voters passed Ballot Measure #67.
